OCT 2025 – OSPT Alliance is pleased to announce the availability of a new Terminal Library to support developers implementing CIPURSE™-based systems. Developed and maintained by Infineon Technologies AG, a Full Member of OSPT, the library offers technical advantages for creating secure, interoperable terminals using the CIPURSE™ standard. Please note that the Terminal Library is not owned by OSPT Alliance and is solely distributed and supported by Infineon. To learn more, visit https://osptalliance.org/terminal-library.
OCT 2025 – To support broader adoption and provide clarity around implementation rights, OSPT Alliance has updated its membership fee structure. While our tiers — Full, Affiliate, and Associate — remain unchanged, only Full and Affiliate Members are legally permitted to implement CIPURSE™ and access the latest specification. Associate Members are intended solely for academic and public-sector evaluation and may only access older versions. To make participation more accessible, we’ve significantly reduced our fees: Full Membership is now €3,000/year (previously €5,000), Affiliate Membership is €500/year (previously €1,000), and Board Membership is €25,000/year (previously €30,000) for those who wish to directly influence the CIPURSE™ specification and the future direction of OSPT. We strongly encourage any Associate Members engaged in implementation activities to upgrade their membership to ensure compliance and continued access to the latest CIPURSE™ Specification Package. Learn more at https://osptalliance.org/membership.
OCT 2025 – With the release of CIPURSE™ V2 Specification Package Revision 2.1, OSPT Alliance has clarified the access rights of its membership tiers. While Full, Affiliate, and Associate categories remain the same, only Full and Affiliate Members are permitted to implement CIPURSE™ and access the latest specifications. Associate Members, intended for evaluation purposes only, are limited to older versions and may not implement. To support broader adoption and compliance, annual membership fees have been reduced: Affiliate membership is now €500, and Full membership is €3,000. OSPT encourages all Associate Members who expect to implement to upgrade their membership to maintain access to the latest version of the CIPURSE™ spec and meet licensing requirements.

Board Directors from IDEMIA and Infineon attended in person, accompanied by several other members, while other members from around the world attended online. Björn Scharfen, President of the Board, opened the meeting with a warm welcome. Full Members then approved several resolutions to update the Articles of Association and approve OSPT’s accounts and budget for the 2024 year. This was followed by brief year-in-reviews from the Certification and Technical Working Groups, and the Latin American and South African regions. The reports were positive and well received and the overall feeling of the meeting was forward-looking and optimistic.
